Welcome to Prince Arthur Road Indoor Bowls Club

THE CLUB WAS CLOSED FROM TUESDAY 17TH MARCH 2020
BUT THERE IS NOW LIGHT AT THE END OF THE PANDEMIC TUNNEL
AND IT IS HOPED THAT WE WILL BE OPENING SOON UNDER NEW RULES.  SEE BELOW.

HAPPY DAYS ARE HERE AGAIN!

We have now been officially allowed to reopen indoor bowls.

The new board of directors are now working to ensure the laid down procedures are in operation for the club and bowling to operate in a safe environment.

This will take hopefully a short time but we will keep you informed of progress. We will be asking for volunteers to help set up and run the Club once our systems are agreed.

LATEST MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN

Hi Everyone

I hope you are all keeping well and enjoying the fine weather.

At the Board meeting on 5th August it was decided to reopen the club on Monday 31st August. Further information on procedures will be announced soon. I'm sure you will all appreciate the club won't be running in quite the same way as before, social distancing etc. will be in place and wearing masks is obligatory. However, I feel everyone will soon adapt and things will run smoothly.

I will be in the office between 9.30 am – 11.30 from Tuesday to Friday every week to answer the telephone if you have any questions etc.

Can you please make sure the club has your up to date details, address, telephone number and email. These are important as we may need to contact you at short notice.

I look forward to seeing you all back bowling and in spite of social distancing enjoying the social atmosphere that goes with bowls.

Prince Arthur Road Indoor Bowls Club was founded in 1989 and has one of the largest playing areas in the Kent area with 8 rinks.

It gives the opportunity for all members, including those with a disability, in the Medway and surrounding areas to play bowls all year round.

The Winter season commences at the end of September and culminates with Club Finals and presentations in Mid April.

We then continue with the Summer programme which runs from the end of April to Mid September.

The club has a full programme of bowling to suit all ages and ability ranging from Internal Leagues, Club, National and County Competitions,
Organised Roll Ups and Casual Play.

For the Social bowlers there can be as many as three matches at weekends against external clubs from the South East of England.
Many of these are meal matches that include a fabulous meal provided by our experienced catering team.

The club is situated in Prince Arthur Road, Brompton, Gillingham.  Directions are available in the how to find us section.

We have ample free parking and the buses stop just outside the club.  Regular coaching sessions are held by our fully qualified coaches.

We are always pleased to see new members and visitors.  For further information please visit the Membership page.
