After a successful week away at “Potters”, PARIBC were once again the bridesmaids, as they repeated their 2011 efforts and finished as runners up in the bowls competition as a whole. PARIBC managed to get 7 teams into the knockout stages, (after all the group games), then 4 teams into the quarter finals and 2 teams into the semi – finals, the team of Pat & John MacFarland, Deidre & Mike Williams just prevailing in a close game. In the final, despite playing well they came up against strong opposition and although they lost, they were a credit to the Club, as were all the 57 PARIBC tourists who ventured away on this trip. The Club also gained its second piece of Potters silverware and this cup will sit alongside the other one in the trophy cabinet.
