Huge thanks to “M&S”, (that is Marc Carr and Sue Smith), for all their hard work and efforts in running yet another superb quiz night at the Club, last Sat night, from both a social and financial point of view. On the latter, almost £1,600.00 was raised for the Club coffers, as well as £950.00 taken on the bar, so what a result that is for the Club. Thanks to all those who turned out, (over 150 members and friends) and supported the event, (these things don’t work without you attending, much appreciation to one and all!), to all those who helped on the night, be it setting up, clearing away, selling raffle / bingo tickets and the ladies, who worked the bar, giving the self – serve fridge, a deserved night off! Winners by just a mere 02 points, were the team led by Carol Coultard and John Tuff, so well done to them, with 3 teams tied for second place. Pics below, (kindly taken by Sue Smith and Patricia Wells), show the 3 “wise?” Women of PARIBC, (oh dear, we are in trouble then!), the patrons, deep in concentration and thought, enjoying the evening, the well – deserved winners, the compère in full flow, (how can anybody say they couldn’t hear him?!), the quiz being done overseas, (Hayling Island!) and the Club’s ladies vice – captain, going far too early with her celebrations of an anticipated win………only to then find out her team came 11th!
