2.00pm – “25TH ANNIVERSARY MIX & MATCH FUN GAME”
Captained by
Trevor Bishop
The afternoon meal match against Woolwich and Plumstead BC, (8 triples), was cancelled by the Oppo late on Wed afternoon as they could not raise a side. In its place and thanks to the chasing around by Malcolm Clark, Trevor Bishop and amongst many others, the runner up in this week’s over 95’s comp,(won by Joe Major, subject to a check of his birth certificate!), namely Dave “If I may make a suggestion even though I’m not on the committee” Elliott, the PARIBC members enjoyed a last minute mix and match triples game, where all rules went out of the window as a good natured and very vocal disorder of a social kind prevailed. Rosemary Clive, Dave Cook and George Maillardet were deemed the winners with many other rinks ending in “dishonourable” draws as the noise levels rose by the hour. Thanks to all who organized and participated in this last minute gig. The high spirits continued well into the evening at the social evening and congratulations go to Linda Hoare who won the top prize at the Club’s 25th Anniversary raffle. Thanks go to Nicola, ladies and Adrian in the kitchen for the superb food at the match and to Sue Smith for doing the bar.
Followed by
