Player of the Season, (winter 2025 / 26)
WINTER 2025 / 26 PLAYER OF THE SEASON COMPS.
For the winter 2025 / 26 social match season, the Club had 34 scheduled matches, of which 03 were cancelled, (all by the Oppo), meaning that we played 31 matches, with 23 wins and 08 losses. 84 members played at least 01 match, with 32 members, playing 08 or more matches. Alongside these matches, the Club also played the usual, annual memorial matches for Vic Ashby, Trevor Bishop and Jim Masters. In the two, Player of the Season comps., (shots scored and shots difference – best 08 scores / shots, count), the ladies once again came to the fore. In the shots scored, Janice Hatcher prevailed by just a single shot over Sonia Bignell, whilst in the shots difference, the tables were turned, as Sonia came out on top over Janice. The pictures below, (kindly taken by Glynis Whatman), show the two ladies happily pose with the trophies. As such, the top 05, for both comps., are listed below:-
SHOTS SCORED:- 01st = Janice Hatcher 239 / 45; 02nd = Sonia Bignell 238 / 45; 03rd = Tim Fletcher 224 / 36; 04th = Alan Cross 221 / 30; 05th = Chris Lewis 220 / 35.
SHOTS DIFFERENCE:- 01st = Sonia Bignell 184 / 43; 02nd = Janice Hatcher 170 / 43; 03rd equal = Tim Fletcher 154 / 31 and Marc Carr 154 / 30; 05th equal = Margaret Head 150 / 25 and Alan Cross 150 / 24.
