It’s a dirty job, but someone had to do it………and they did! (Mon 21/07/25)

Thanks a plenty are due to the following 8 gents, (in alphabetical order), Bob Blood, Marc Carr, Dave Cook, Mick Day, Dave Elliott, Fred Linger, Bruce Robinson and Mike R Smith, who gave up their Mon, (21/07/25), to clear all 11 of the sump drains, that line the car park.  The hard work and effort put in by this 8 man working party, paid dividends, as all the drains were cleared in the day, (many hands, make light work and all that!).  Now from the pics, kindly taken by Sue Smith, is this perhaps the smartest attired set of workmen and labourers in the business?  Mike R Smith, almost in the drain, amongst all the muck, yet not a scrap of dirt on posh trousers, posh shirt, or on even posher Panama hat, ho, ho, whilst it appears, at first glance, that Fred Linger is in overalls, that seem to crafted from crushed velvet?!  Although to give it some balance, you will see both Marc Carr and Dave Cook, revelling in the dirt, in usual poses, down on all fours!  Well done chaps a superb effort all round and your combined efforts are very much appreciated by the Club.
