PARIBC 2026 Footy World Cup sweepstake

Winner of the PARIBC 2026 Footy World Cup sweepstake with Spain, was Sue Smith so well done to her, with runners up being the Smalls, (Janet and Derrick), apparently very dirty, cynical and emotional, …just to clarify, that is the footy team they had in the sweep, Argentina, not Mr and Mrs Small themselves!  In 3rd place, with England, was Glynis Whatman and in 4th place, with France, was ladies captain Deidre Williams, who says she has no interest in footy whatsoever!  In the associated sport knowledge quiz, linked in with the sweepstake, with a maximum 20 pts on offer, the placings were as follows:- 1st and Winner: Chris Lewis = 09 pts; 2nd: Janet / Derrick Small = 08 pts; 3rd equal: Heather Allan, Marc Carr, Dianne / Roger Hemming = 07 pts; 6th equal: Bob Blood, Dot / Dave Elliott, Sue Smith, Glynis Whatman = 06 pts; 10th equal: Christine / Tom Heward, Patrica Wells = 05 pts; 12th and Last; Fred Linger = 04 pts.  So well done Christopher, a worthy champion, whose winnings will no doubt soon be given back, in the form of wrong bias fines!  Thanks to all who took part and enjoy spending your huge monetary winnings!  Pics of the winners, (kindly taken by Sue Smith and Patricia Wells), can be seen below.
