WINTER 2024 / 25 PLAYER OF THE SEASON COMPS.

For the winter 2024 / 25 social match season, the Club had 34 scheduled matches, of which 03 were cancelled, (all by the Oppo).  Thus we played 31 matches, winning 30 and having just 01 loss, which was a fantastic achievement, in what was a brilliant season for the Club and certainly one of the best, (if not the best?), in its history.  78 members played at least 01 match, with 30 members, playing 08 or more matches.  Alongside these matches, the Club also played the usual, annual memorial matches for Vic Ashby, Trevor Bishop and Jim Masters.  In the two, Player of the Season comps., (shots scored and shots difference – best 08 scores / shots, count), once again, the winner of both, was the same person, so, huge congratulations to Fred Linger.  This season saw different runners up in each comp., so well done to Heather Allan and Peter Edwards respectively.  The pictures below, (kindly taken by Heather Allan and Sue Smith), show the winner and runners up, happily pose with the trophies.  As such, the top 05, for both comps., are listed below:-

SHOTS DIFFERENCE:- 01^st = Fred Linger 182 / 32; 02^nd = Peter Edwards 159 / 32; 03^rd = Heather Allan 158 / 32; 04^th = Margaret Head 154 / 26; 05^th equal = Marc Carr 142 / 28 & Mike R Smith 142 / 25.
